Powell River, BC – Powell River Kings ’99 born goaltender Derek Krall has been named a BCHL Week 21 Player of the Week Honourable Mention.
Krall, 20, went 1-0-1, stopping 65 of 68 last week. The Nanaimo, BC product made 37-saves for his third career shutout in a 7-0 win over the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Friday before making 27-saves on 30-shots in a 3-2 overtime loss on Saturday. He has now won four of his last five starts since January 17.
The uncommitted goaltender is now 20-8, with three shutouts, and a 2.74 GAA / .912 SV% this season.
Krall has now earned the Player of the Week Honourable Mention three times, to go along with one Player of the Week award and a Player of the Month Honourable Mention.
