The Kings have acquired 2004 born defenseman Vit Beran in a trade with the Chilliwack Chiefs. In return the Kings have sent future considerations to Chilliwack.
Beran is a left shot defenseman from Litomerice, Czechia and stands at 6 feet 2 inches tall. Last season for HC Litvinov he had 2 goals and 8 assists in 51 games. Beran has also represented his country on the international stage numerous times and he will be a welcomed addition to the Kings blueline.
“We are extremely excited to add Vit to the Kings roster” says assistant G.M. Stephan Seeger Jr. “Vit is a Czech defender that is hard to play against. His size, strength, and work ethic are all key attributes we watch for when adding to our D core. We look forward to seeing how Vit will contribute to our club on and off the ice in Powell River.”
The 19 year old has just been limited to just 10 games this season for the Chiefs due to injury. In those games he has collected 2 assists. The last time he saw game action was October 22nd; however he isn’t far from returning to the ice as he could make his Kings debut as early as this weekend when they host the Cranbrook Bucks on Friday and Cowichan Valley Capitals on Saturday.
