The Kings are proud to announce the signing of 2005 born defenseman Calvin Beard.
The 18 year old is from Southborough Massachusetts and has spent the last 3 seasons playing USHS-Prep at St. Mark’s School which is located in his hometown. He was over a point per game player from the backend during his tenure raking up 92 points in 82 total games.
Beard stands at 6 feet 2 inches tall and is expected to be a big offensive threat on the blueline this season. “Calvin skates well and is no stranger to the offensive side of the game” says assistant G.M. Stephan Seeger Jr. “Expect Calvin to be jumping up in the play often and he likes to get pucks to the net, especially through traffic.”
This past season he was the captain of St. Mark’s and it was his best statistically finishing 3rd on his team in scoring with 44 points (17 goals & 27 assists) in 28 contests.
