The Kings have made two roster moves. First they have traded 2003 forward Colin MacDougall to the Navan Grads of the CCHL in exchange for future considerations, then to fill the open roster spot the Kings signed 2004 forward Turner Richards.
MacDougall was acquired in the offseason and played in 12 games for the Kings this year scoring 2 goals to go along with 2 assists.
Richards is a dual citizen from Minocqua Wisconsin and started this season with the Cowichan Valley Capitals where he collected 3 assists in 9 games. Like Casey Aman, Will Jones, Anthony Yu, and Noah Eyre, Richards is an alumnus of Shattuck St. Mary’s where he played at for three seasons, all of them with Jones & Yu and two with Eyre.
Richards has been skating with the team for the past week on a tryout and performed well enough to force the hand of G.M. Chad van Diemen “Credit to him for coming in and forcing us make a difficult decision.” says van Diemen “He’s made the most of an opportunity and has earned a spot on our roster.”
Richards will make his Kings debut tonight in Surrey against the Eagles
The Kings would like to thank Colin for his contributions to the team and wish him well moving forward with Navan.
