Parksville, BC – The Powell River Kings are proud to announce that ’00 born forward Reilly Moran has committed to NCAA-D1 St. Lawrence University for the 2020-21 season.
Moran, 19, is currently tied for first on the Kings roster in goals and points with 12 goals, and 26 points in 40 games this season. The Milton, MA native has also totaled four goals and six assists on the power play this year
“To me, St. Lawrence felt like a perfect fit for both hockey and academics,” stated Moran. “The campus itself is extremely beautiful, and the new rink is a huge plus. The staff is new to the program, and are hungry to win. They have big goals for the program moving forward, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to be a Saint.”
Moran began the season committed to Army, but decided to de-commit to pursue other opportunities in October. Prior to joining the Kings, Moran played at Thayer Academy, where he scored 29 goals and 81 points over 119 games.
He also becomes the second player to commit to St. Lawrence University out of the Kings organization, joining alumni Jacob Pritchard who did so in 2014-15.
